feeling small...

Humpback whale in Antarctic. Somebody ask me how did I took this serie of pictures, here is the answer.

Ah, in a rubber dinghy, no wonder you felt small... You are right, breeching is the technical term for a whale "jumping" out of the water.

C'est toi dans le zodiac?
Au niveau de la photo, j'aime bien le fait qu'on ne voit pas la baleine en entier. Trop grande pour rentrer dans le cadre. Du coup l'on imagine ce que l'on ne voit pas et là, cela laise une part de mystère. Joli contraste entre le calme de la scène et la dangerosité suggérée pas la masse.
Enfin bref, je ne me lasse pas de ta série sur les baleines.

Vraiment impressionnant, un moment magique comme on rêve d'en vivre.... mais je crois que je serais morte de trouille. Tu n'avais pas peur que cette baleine (et elle est énorme, l'échelle est donnée par ton canot et par toi même ) te renverse, tu sembles tellement prêt ? En tout cas une image d'une expérience rare et fabuleuse que peu de personnes vivent et qui témoigne de l'exceptionnelle richesse et beauté du monde animalier qu'il nous faut à tout pris protéger pour pouvoir encore en profiter.
