Ces jeux de reflets, de N&B, la compo et cet oiseau au bec si pointu et à l'oeil vif... Quelle belle image !

Great detail. Reminds me of a Japanese scroll painting. Very nice.

i like it in black and white , about the framing i prefer a lower view bending a knee i don't know if that was possible.

Excellent picture, so sharp and well exposed, sorry, I can't see anything to be critical about!

Nice shot. the b&w conversion really shows off the line of the birds neck, its reflection and the interaction with the rocks, which to me are the best parts of the image.

The birds feathers are over exposed though, meaning you have missed out on what could have been a wonderful texture. If you were shooting RAW you might be able to rescue some of that detail with a different conversion. or in future you could try using -ve exposure compensation or using a spot meter on the highlights to set your metering...

@drphoto: Thank you so much for your long comment drphoto. I really appreciate. You are right, parts of the feathers are overexposed on the original even if it was an overcast day. I will try to do better next time...

Usually, I would notice what drphoto and yourself have been discussing but I was so struck by the overall charm of this shot, I missed the technical issues! I like what you have done here.

The is an artful photo. There are many things going right in this shot and the choice of black and white was perfect. It is odd for me to see a photo and then think of a proper physical size for it, but with this one I think BIG! Great, great job here!

Fantastic to post this in black and white. Especially since the bird is white and the shadow appears like a dark alter-ego (or alter-egret).
