short appearance

Posted by akarui (Kagoshima, Japan) on 26 August 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

My pictures have a lack of people and you might think that there are not many people in Japan :)
Here are some portraits taken in Okinawa. First an old woman wearing a yukata (summer kimono) who went out of her house and turn back right away.

Thank you very much for all your comments.
You can see the same picture in bigger size and better resolution on my new blog.

Love the desaturated colours.

Love the color processing, it separates the woman from the background. Like you and dj, I have few humans in my shots... that makes 3 :)

Without the EXIF next to it, I would think this is a retouched vintage photograph! Very nice capture.

Very nice work here again. What I especially like is the interaction between the old woman and the old wall -- both of them old but very sturdy and beautiful. Nice work.
