la grande bleue

"la grande bleue" is an other way for talking about the sea in French. The litteral translation would be "the big blue", not sure that it is used in English.

@Francesc B.: Merci encore Francesc. En effet en blanc c'est bien, j'ai eu peur que ce soit trop voyant comme j'avais eu une remarque dans ce sens precedemment (mais la bande etait plus large)

gorgeous -- there was a famous movie called 'the big blue' that i believe was produced by a french director for an american movie house -- came out in the 80's... wonderful, spiritual, beautiful...! but that is the only other reference to the sea by this name that i know of. stunning shot -- is this mid pacific? one of the atolls? hope you went for a swim? ;) marvelous!
