Costa Allegra

May be you have notice the strong noise in some of my previous pictures to avoid compression artifacts. Here is an example of the poor quality when there is a gradation of colors (I didn't add any noise here, idem on yesterday picture).
I have sent an image of 467KB and Aminus3 has reduced it to 69KB (size that you can check with a right clik of the mouse ->property)

Thank you very much for all your comments.
You can see the same picture in bigger size and better resolution on my new blog.

It´s a pity that people that can´t afford to be a A+member like myself can´t show their work properly but business is business , this also piss me off !!

Wonderufl image here Akarui, the sky is splended. Aminus has a new A+ membership you can pay for now but it lets you upload your images without compression, it takes a lot longer but if you are concerned with the quality, it may be an option you could consider. I signed up about a week ago. When you go to load up your images... see the tab "Beta upload is now available".. click on that and go from there. I think this is a wonderful image and you have captured it very well.

@Kylie Greenan: Thank you very much Kylie. I am thinking about making my own web site to have more freedom about the presentation of my pictures but I am not ready yet.

Nonetheless a beautiful picture; you might consider the A+ membership, as Kylie already suggested.

@MadScientist: Thank's a lot MadScientist. I see that you are a A+ member by the size of your pictures.

I'm sorry but I don't see the problem... can you explain what's wrong? Is it because of my monitor? I did a calibration test which suggested my monitor was good...

@Daryl: Hi Daryl, I cannot show you the difference with the original but if you want to have an idea go there and compare with the picture of the link (in the comment)

Salut
